Marco Aurélio Cordeiro is a lawyer, specialized in business law and media, communication and entertainment law, with 20+ years of experience, of which approximately 18 in the TV market and multiplatform content production, having held executive positions in some of the most relevant broadcasters in Brazil, having also worked in several of the largest media and entertainment deals in Brazil. Standing out in his career should be mentioned his role as senior legal executive and head of litigation at RecordTV, the second largest TV broadcaster in Brazil and as General Counsel an Compliance Officer of the Brazilian operation of CNN network, having being responsible for all legal aspects of the implementation of the CNN’s operation in Brazil.

With outstanding performance in the legal management of large business conglomerates, his experience in strategic risk management and full business orientation stand out, always pursuing to facilitate operations of interest to his clients.

In the litigation practice, he was responsible for several cases of wide repercussion, especially in lawsuits related to freedom of the press, copyright, contractual disputes and intellectual property.

In the contractual scope, his experience in negotiating, preparing and managing business contracts in general and specific to the audiovisual production segment, licensing and multiplatform distribution of content, hiring executives and talents, licensing and transmission of sporting events (Olympics, Football World Cup, Pan American Games etc.), strategic partnerships, among many other types of contracts.
